| Rana Tre |
![]() Follow the instrumentalists of the wellknown folk group Ranarim into the exciting world of swedish traditional music. This new group consists of some of the finest folk musicians of their generation: Daniel Ek on the guitar, Niklas Roswall on the nyckelharpa and Petter Berndalen playing percussion. Based in the tradition with roots many hundreds years back they form their music to something very unique and fresh.
Rana Tre, which means Rana Three, offers a repertoire including the typical slängpolska from Skåne, wild triplets in the polskas from Medelpad and beautiful wedding marches. Their schottis tunes makes it impossible to stand still and the sad melodies of waltzes from northern Sweden leaves no eye dry. Re trio combines a groovy sound with a great virtousity and create their very own mix of old and new, north and south.
Rana Tre started as a sideproject when the singers Ulrika and Johanna were recovering from an illness during a school tour. The boys remembered all those happy moments together when playing dance music for hours in Ranarim. So, they took the best tunes, rehearsed and arranged and so the new group was born. LISTEN!
